PR File Transfered from Buffalo to Detroit

We are approved PNP nominees and applied for PR in February 2010 through Buffalo (done from within Canada). Since then we have completed our medicals in August 2010. On 19 October 2010 we and received an email from Buffalo informing us that they have now transfered our file to Detroit.

Does anyone know why they did this? Is this normal? I looked on the CIC site and saw that Detroit is only a satellite office that deals with visitors visas etc and not with PR. Why was our file sent there?

Any feedback would be highly appreciated.

we almost have the same timeline but our file was transferred to Los Angeles yesterday. from what i have read on different threads, transfer is a good thing since it will speed things up but every case is different, so best thing for us is to wait and see.

also from what i have read, buffalo transfers files to satellites office because of their heavy workload and to overcome backlogs.
