It's not a "big hit", don't be so dramatic. It's only a $15 increase for RPRF. Canada is so cheap, want to know immigration fees that will really break your back? Try Australia.
$7,850 for partner visas and nearly $4k for each dependant. Skilled visas are $4,115. That's not even considering everything else you have to do (postage, medicals etc.

I'm not being dramatic first of all. And in Australia you make way higher than in Canada.
