Dear All,

I lived about 4 years (just 20 days out of Canada for my vacation within this 4 years), worked, paid all the taxes and everything. I got married with US citizen and got US PR. Got RQ on the day of my citizenship test. Already sent the supporting documents to Glen Erin as the officer told me. I have one year valid PR status in Canada. May I allow to extend the Canadian PR when I am living in US? How long does it take (the shortest and longest) RQ you experienced? If I am allowed to extend my Canadian PR, when should I apply for it? 6 months before the card expires? Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

you can apply for pr any time during your stay in Canada as long as you qualify they will issue you new pr you dont have to wait for pr to expire that is what i mean

You can renew your PR card while abroad but CIC will not mail the PR card outside Canada. So you'll need to provide a Canadian mailing address

Thank you, everyone. I am going to provide the address in Canada. But I do have one whole year valid PR status in Canada. Will apply for it around June or July 2014. Thanks again.
