I agree with you completely especially when there is long silence and no one can explain some perceived abnormalities.Yes mate, long waiting time definitely made room for speculation.
It worked for some , though.

Congratulations!Received eCOPR today!
An FYI for anyone needing to travel prior to eCOPR...I needed to travel for 3 weeks (fly to/from Europe) between P2 and eCOPR in Dec. I submitted a webform 2 weeks before my flight requesting to put a hold on my eCOPR processing. On my return on Jan 2nd, I submitted another webform just to confirm I was back in Canada and ensure I wasn't left on hold. Comparing with other recent eCOPRs issued, this process does not seem to have added any further delays or complications to my processing. It was much less stressful than I was lead to believe prior to my travels, bearing in mind I was fortunate enough to have plenty of time remaining on an existing work permit.

The other one came the next day. Looking at the date, they approved mine a day later than my wife's one!Why would they send only one PR card? I will never understand this people.
Side note. GCKey only updated after eCoPR. Tracker still says my wife's eligibility is still Not started. And PR Portal is still saying everything's in review.Just got our PR cards. Guess that's it for my immigration journey. Thanks and good luck to everyone on this forum.

Eligibility of dependent will never get updated. IRCC tend to pass the eligibility accumulatively for both the PA and the dependent!Side note. GCKey only updated after eCoPR. Tracker still says my wife's eligibility is still Not started. And PR Portal is still saying everything's in review.
