The problem is that I hear once your PR is confirmed, your temporary residence and all associated visas get cancelled. This implies that even if you have a valid visa while leaving Canada because your PR hasn't been confirmed, the visa will get canceled if your PR is confirmed and you are out of Canada. This implies that upon returning to Canada, you may not be allowed entry at the border. Is there any way I can contact Montreal Visa Office?
Need to contact them urgently as my only sister is getting married in next 6 days and all my permits are expired and I am on applied BOWP.
I have 2 questions: -
1. if I go to India without getting eCOPR, how IRCC will know that I am in India and do not generate his eCOPR?
2. While Applying for PRTD do I need to give them my landing information that when I land in Delhi or I can give them tickets only in that case I can pay little extra and book a flight from YYZ to DEL.
What I think you need to do is
1. raise a webform to inform IRCC that you are travelling and tell them the duration you intend to stay in India. If it's not long, they will hold on to you eCOPR until you come back. That way you will enter Canada again and then wait for your eCOPR.
If you are staying for long, IRCC will process a passport request for you to the office in India (that is, your cae will be treated like an applicant from outside Canada) where you will get a visa to travel back to Canada. In this kind of event, you will receive your COPR (not eCOPR) at the border.
Another thing is to wait and go to visit your sister after marriage. By that time you would have received your PR card and will be free to travel.
