PR confirmation email delay

Hello everyone,

My friend applied for PR last June 2020 and in March her application status was changed to "decision has been made". But she did not get any confirmation email from them yet which is required for her to get the new SIN and start working. Did anyone face this problem and any way to check why there is a delay to just send a simple confirmation email?

Any suggestion or information will be helpful.

Did you friend tried calling IRCC? The longest wait I’ve seen for COPR was 2 months after getting a decision made in IRCC.

Thank you all for replying, yes she did call IRCC and they keep saying to wait.
Another question, when applying for PR if the person is already in Canada for few years, do they still need to do the medical test?
