Hi,

I landed in Canada as a skill worker in Aug 2006 and after one month I had to go back to Dubai as I was working in Dubai back then.
I had been back and forth between Toronto and Dubai between Aug 2006 and Aug 2009. I only spent 3 months in Canada within the first 3 years.
I moved to Canada in Aug 2009 and I have been living here since. My PR card is expired and I had to wait to have at least 2 years completed in Toronto. Now that I'm eligible to apply I'm worried that the Canadian immigration office raise issue over my 6 month continues absence from Canada within the first 3 years (Aug 2006-Aug 2009).Is it possible that I lose my PR card?

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
You can stay outside for up to 1094 days during the 5 year period. If you look at the PR renewal application, you see that only if you have been outside Canada for 1095 days or more in your first 5 years as a PR you have to explain your absences. As you have already stayed 3 months in Canada before August 2009 and continuously staying in Canada after August 2009 till the expiry of the PR card, you will be able to get your PR Card renewed. CIC does not insist that you should stay consecutively 6 months during the first 3 year period.
