Guys, what is the average time to get the PR card after landing? when I land I will have temporary residence only; can I supply my perminant address to the concerned authorites later to send my PR card to? If I did not receive my card and I left Canada say for two months; is it possible for my spouse to send the card to me over seas? answers are appreciated

1. 30 days.
2. When you "land" you become a Permanent Resident, PR card is the proof of the status.
3. Yes, your spouse can courier your card.

Processing of PR cards is taking longer than the "30 days" quoted on the website. My husband's card took about 7.5 weeks, and that seems to be about average right now.

I think sunlight is right despite whatever the cic website states.

We landed on 20th may 2010 and still waiting for PR card. Now started to become anxious.

hi.........

i have just started wondering that t is there a possibility that the PR card has got misplaced???

The address given is that of a relative who is a single and a working lady.

She would not be at home in the day time to receive it except may be on a sunday.

Is the letter just dropped in the mail/letter box or does it have to be signed like the way courier is signed in india.

waiting for everyone"s valuable input

Hi,

Some posters said 7.5 weeks. Either keep waiting or call the CIC agents.

Hi...found this CIC # : +613 944 4000 ( 1,2,1,2,1 and then 0 to speak to an agent)...was finally informed tht my PR card shld be ready in 2 weeks time.

Plse do not wait and fret....dial the # and be assured. ;D
