I have a complicated question and Im hoping that someone has an experience of what Im about to ask...
the situation is I got married and so I went through a name change. I changed my name on my SIN cards, drivers license, and Passport. The only thing I haven't changed is my PR card. It still has my old name on it. I need to go to the US. I will need a US VIsa for that. However, I am scared to apply for a US Visa and also worried of crossing the border with these documents that do not match....
Bottomline questions: If I apply for a US visa with my PR Card with old name + Passport with new name, are there chances that I will be denied of a US VIsa???
And another question, if I get lucky and they would give me a US VIsa, will I have a lot of hassle and worries when I cross the border with my PR Card with old name + Passport with new name???
Note: I have a marriage certificate to prove my name change... will this help? Did anyone experience these problems before? I would really appreciate your answers and advice! Thank you
