Hi,I am Canadian citizen born in Montreal.I work abroad and my wife got sponsored from me (inside sponsorship and married). She has her PR card but i need to check the expiring date if there is?We have been gone for almost nine years now.She obtained that card about 8 to 9 years now.Is it still valid? What about when we come back to live back home for real?Any trouble with this?

I know that since she follows me abroad it's not such a big deal but still i need to know if we need a new card?I am going home soon for 3 weeks so please tell me if we need to apply for a new card or not?Any special procedures?

Thanks for the help,

Luc

If she has a PR card, the earliest it could have been issued is June/02. It would have been valid until June/07, so it is expired. She has to be in Canada to apply for a new PR card and it takes about 220 calender days. As she is accompanying a citizen overseas, she maintains her PR.

Thanks! So we have to go in the immigration department downtown Montreal for this or it can be done and filled up on line?I must be dreaming?

I see other post with interview PR card renewal.THat's not applicable to a born Canadian that got is Danish wife a PR card who's expired?
