PR card validity - renewal

Hi,

Has anyone renewed their PR card lately? Just curious about the renewed validity, was it 5 years or less?

You will have to do it in advance ... According to the last update, a renewal takes 110 days, so about 4 months of processing time.

I have already read in the guides on the IRCC site that if you send in your renewal request too early (The limit before expiration is 6 months), they will send your request back to you!

... And finally, yes, the validity period is 5 years. I confirm.

** Sorry, erratatum, i've just find the page concerning the maximum delay you can apply before, see here ... Seems they have change 6 months for 9 months now !, See here :

So sorry I was not clear in my ask. So normally the first PR card is good for 5 years, right. So when you renew it, do you still get 5 years or is it less?

It's always 5 years of validity ... First card or not.
