PR card timeline (Etobicoke office only)

I hope this is true, so my question is why do some people get their pr card before other applicants like they got their Ecopr in September and also PR card 2 weeks later.

I asked her this she said there can be many technical reasons/ factors and it depends on case to case basis. I feel they have this statement on their desk and they repeat this to everyone.

Any immigration document that is shipped outside has to have legal paperwork and an authorization letter. If not, it can be confiscated by CBSA. If it is confiscated, the holder of the document will have to apply to have it returned.

Just spoke to a really nice agent from IRCC, she said few applications for PR Card are still in progress. Currently, April 16 applications are being finalized for PR Card. She said for mine (May 10 eCoPR) give or take 1-2 months more. No errors in Card.

She said april 16? How can she know? Never heard such thing before.. Also I'm from before that date and I have 0 update

You can apply for PRTD when in back home to re enter Canada without card

Not sure if customs open it what they will do. If somebody can bring it for you then no issue. Recently someone my know did the same thing. His friend brought it for him.

I have been there. It is frustrating. Wait for 6 weeks and then call. Check all my messages in this forum. You will get some idea and hope.

Then it is your call. But i asked ircc many times. Agent always says no to this. Consult courier companies for this. Flights may start on 26 of this month if you want to wait until then.

Had submitted application for PR card way back in March. Today Sep 23rd I Received correspondence letter acknowledging that the application was received in March which is quite weird. Has anyone who received PR card received such letter so late and how long did it take to get the approval once received.
My timeline.
COPR March 13th
Sent photos on March 31st
1st GU 22nd September
2nd Update with correspondence letter on 23rd September.

20 Days not enough, the timeline currently is 4-8 weeks, give or take 8 weeks till you get your passport back with stamp.

Copr- March 13 2021
Photo delivered- March 31 2021
First GU- September 13 2021
Second Gu & approved- September 17 2021
Pr card in mailbox- September 22 2021
Note- i have change address in july, however my pr card was sent to old address.so if anyone has made changes to address recently, I recommend to check both mailbox after approved status.

Did anyone get a GU yesterday? My COPR is April 26 by email. My photo was delivered on end of April (around April 28~30 by Canada post). I saw a GU when I checked my account last night. I guess people who sent photo around earlier of April are getting GU this week, so I am wondering if it was just an error or something.
