PR card timeline (Etobicoke office only)

PR Confirmation Portal In my case, I received an email to confirm my and my dependent presence in Canada last week from Etobicoke. I responded to that email and received another email the next day with a PR Portal link to upload photos and confirm my address. I have done that and waiting for further updates. In PR Portal it says it with review with IRCC.

Do you know how long it will take for further updates?

6 weeks.

It is better for you. You will receive PR card before many of us, because PR confirmation portal is very fast.

Hello everyone. I got COPR on Jan 27 2021 and send a photo to Etobicoke office right away with tracking it arrived on Feb 1 2021.
Here is my question. I have a closed-work permit at the moment expires next year.
let's say what if I want to fly over to Vancouver, is closed-work permit void since I got COPR or is closed-work permit still valid ?

Closed work permit gets invalidated once you receive PR status.

I am sorry, I couldn't understand your question about Vancouver trip? It is still inside Canada, Are you saying you will fly outside Canada from Vancouver?

In my case the law firm who applied for work permit said that, they can't apply for TRV once PR status is granted because PR status triumphs other status.

Are you apply by yourself? in that case better to check with IRCC before applying.

Ok..After I applied for TRV I got the COPR... Should I call IRCC and request to cancel it?

I thought you said they approved work permit 2 weeks after copr?
I agree with you on all points. Once you are pr every other temporary residence document is irrelevant.

yes, PR approved on 26 Nov and WP approved on 9 Dec.

I just got confirmation portal info. Shall i use same photos which i used while submitted ITA. I took photos on sep 2020 so not sure if i can use same photos for uploading in portal. I know photos should be less than 6 months, please confirm.

You must get new photos. They might be near 6 months expiry.
