Man, I don't know how to say this any simpler. When you apply online you upload 3 documents. 1) your copr
2) passport
3) your lease agreement, a utility bill, a credit card statement with address your driver's license, etc.
First of all, don’t call me man!
Secondly you don’t have to make it simpler, I understand the process I was answering a previous question and was explaining my experience. I don’t have a utility bill, credit card, card statement or drivers license.

Ok, I'm sorry if I offended you.
Good luck to you.

As per your explanation, you don't have proof of address.

I assume you reside in Greater Toronto Area, because you are posting messages in Etobicoke thread.

If my above assumption is correct, then I would suggest you to apply for a Ontario photo card. It works as address proof across Ontario, you can use it to open bank account or to get mobile phone connection etc. I hope this helps.

Have u linked your application in online account? If yes, Are there any updates there?

I haven't heard this kind of scenario that they haven't processed the photos sent together for same family.

I didnt link the application in online account..Initially when we receive copr for us address on the application is not same for both of us (one mentioned as my lawyer address and other is our home address)so we wrote one letter along with photos to change the address on my application to my lawyer’s office but didnt received it yet.

Linking the application will certainly help in understanding if they have processed the application or not? Or if they have sent some letter to request new photo's etc.?

I applied online first and it was rejected as CoPR was not proof of address because it was not mailed to me, it was emailed.
Hmmm I get it now. I assumed like COPR emailed to you was not getting considered to be valid proof of your immigration. So your problem is the address proof. I agree, any document emailed to you will not be considered to be a valid address proof at canadian government office. You need to arrange something for address proof. Let me give you few options, check if any of this can be arranged.

As i am not sure of your current scenario I am going to make few assumptions here.
1) G1 driver's license. Generally they won't ask for any existing address proof for G1. You need to show your passport and any existing driving license from your home country if any.
2) If you are staying in any apartment/condo and you have a lease agreement that will be perfect. If you are just an occupant and lease agreement is under someone else's name then you can check with the owner or management to provide you with an occupancy letter. This is very much legal and will be provided under letter head. But this will need to be submitted along with original lease agreement.
3) If you have your physical copy of T4 mailed to you, that can be used as address proof.
4) If you are employed and any mail sent by your employer to your house address will also serve the purpose.
5) Any utility bills under your name. (Internet/Mobile/Hydro/Tenant insurance/etc)

Try any of this. Let me know if this helps.

But I don’t have any of those. Can’t even get a mobile phone without a sin number.
Hi @T14 , Just noticed this comment. For me they never asked a SIN # to get a mobile connection. I got my first sim as soon as I reached canada using my work permit and passport detail. I got my first connection from Koodo. I agree that you need SIN# to open a bank account. But one of my friend verified with RBC and they said due to COVID they are allowing to open a bank account without SIN#. Customer has the feasibility to update the SIN# later. Hope you can figure out how to handle this. All the best. Stay safe.

Hey @shashi_b , Just a clarification. Don't a person need address proof to apply for Ontario photo card? I got the photo card for my spouse and the person at Service Ontario asked for an address proof. We provided CRA Assessment letter as a proof.

Hello @sam2328,

My wife had applied for Ontario photo card as her name was not there in tenancy agreement and they didn't ask for any address proof. Only passport was required. IMO, this is easiest option to get address proof foor various purposes e.g. to get SIN, OHIP, Bank account etc.

I have re-verified that only proof of identity is required to get Ontario photo card.

You will need to bring to a ServiceOntario centre:

*original identity documents to prove your legal name, date of birth and signature

*your marriage certificate, if you are applying under your married name
