Hi guys,

I am still waiting for my P.R card, its been more than 45 days. Below is timeline.

AOR: 9th March 2021
e-Copr: 29th June 2021
P.R Card: still waiting.

I raised a webform yesterday stating that I will be travelling to India on December and attached flight ticket. got a automated reply within 5 minutes (very very unusual) as shown below.

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

In order to respond to a high volume of enquiries related to the crisis in Afghanistan, we have needed to shift resources in our Client Support Centre. This will impact our ability to respond to some of your enquiries.

We will respond to these priority enquiries only:

· Clients in crisis situations (like those affected by the situation in Afghanistan)

· Clients facing vulnerable circumstances (emergency and urgent requests)

· Clients who need to tell us about a change in their circumstances, which has a direct impact on their application (like marriage, birth of a child, or similar)

· Clients who are submitting documents requested by one of our officers

· Changes in contact information

· Requests to withdraw an application or refunds

If your enquiry is NOT one of the priority enquiries listed above, you will not receive a reply.

If you included attachments with your enquiry, rest assured that they will be added to your file shortly.

Can anyone suggest me what to do in this case. by looking at the IRCC processing speed I am not sure if I will be receiving my P.R card before December.

You can only wait and hope for the best.
or cancel your travel
or apply for PRTD once you are India, and hope for the best again.

I’m also waiting since June 28th. Called IRCC and the agent told me the visa officer has not checked my file yet. Also told me that unfortunately there is not processing time at this moment due to COVID, so that I should just wait

ECOPR: February 4th, 2021
Photos submitted online on the PR portal: January 5th, 2021
Photos are still in review with IRCC

I tried to reach out to them multiple times. Here's a typical response.
"Applications received in March 2021 are now in process.
We are unable to provide an approximate timeline of the production and distribution of the cards."

Is this normal? Any suggestions?
Have you been waiting 7 months for your PR card? What’s the expiration date of your eCOPR?

Hey guys,

I am also waiting for my first pr card…

Im BCPNP inland applicant. Received my eCOPR on June 24,2021. Uploaded photo and address through PR confirmation portal. Then, linked my pr application on my gckey account.
It’s been said that my card has been approved and sent out on July 26,2021.

However, I have been waiting since then… do you guys know if this is normal? Is anyone in the same boat as me? Should I send Solemn Declaration form??

I feel quite lost… I would really appreciate if someone can help me out …
Thanks

Have you linked your application on gckey??? Does it say that it had been sent???
I’m also on the same boat where I received my ECOPR in June 24,2021. My gckey says it was sent on July 26,2021. However, nothing yet.

Actually I cannot travel with eCopr document. It is not valid for travelling.
That’s what I’m saying.
You can leave Canada. Nobody is going to ask anything to leave.
if you want to come back you will either need the PR Card or you can apply for a PRTD from India.

You should link it yourself. Here's how:

Linking PR Card application;
1. Login into your CIC account as you usually do.
2. Reach the page where you click "Check full application status" to view your application and messages
3. But do not click on that rather click on " Add (link) your application to your account"
4. Select the "Category" from the dropdown as "Permanent Resident Card"
5. Under Application Details, from "Please select one" select "Unique Client Identifier (UCI) and Family Name"
6. Put your UCI as it is NO SPACES and NO HYPHES
7. Put your Family Name as on you CoPR - UPPER and LOWER CASE matter here
8. The tricky one, Place of Birth Section. Here "City/town of birth" is very very crucial. Copy it as it is on your CoPR, any commas, upper/lower case, spaces, just copy it here.
9. Select your "Country/territory of birth" from the drop down
10. Next section is pretty easy as you just select your "Date you became a permanent resident" from dropdown. This is the day you did your landing by either flagpole or landing interview
11. Put "Country of Citizenship" and "Current marital status" from dropdowns.
12. Click "Search for my application", if all the inputs are correct then it will show you that the system has found your application. You just have to click Link my application to account and it will now be shown on "View the applications you submitted" page with your Permanent Residency application.
13. If after clicking "Search for my application" it show no application found, click Try again and try to input all the values carefully again. Each day it allows you 5 attempts. It it still doesn't find your application, you can try again the next day.
Can anyone confirm if this step of linking is important as I dont see that instruction in my E-COPR email
