pr card renewal

Hi,

I have filed for urgent processing for PR card renewal since I plan to travel with family to USA shortly. After filing, I received the below query by mail.

q Complete pages (including blank pages) of your passport(s)/travel document(s) held in the last 5 years. Ensure all pages are in color and are clearly legible.
q Personal immigration entry/exit record or movement certificate issued by the countries where you have travelled.

I have visited USA and India in last 5 years. I have stayed in Canada for more than 745 days at the time of applying for renewal.
I have applied for FOIA and CBSA entry/exit records. But they have asked for time extension. However my planned trip outside Canada is closer than this.
Considering all this, I was thinking of attaching a personal excel sheet with travel history along with all pages copy of passport and
respond to CIC for the query. Would this suffice for the query? Can someone who has knowledge or experienced this before kindly advise?

Thanks and Regards,
Kumar

No, a personally composed excel sheet will not suffice as a response to a request for specific documents from other countries.

What will suffice in the long run, however, to prove you have complied with the PR Residency Obligation, is another matter. Obviously, if you can obtain the records from the U.S. and India, that will help considerably, but you can prove your residency using alternative evidence if necessary.

Odds of your application being completed through urgent processing are not good. This was relatively predictable, applying for a PR card despite having been in Canada less than half the time and applying for urgent processing thus indicating plans to travel outside Canada more.

In fact, odds are this will not even be a routinely processed application and thus is at risk for taking longer than the routine timeline for PR card replacement/renewal.

Thanks dpenabill.....

If I meet the residency obligation of 730 days, why would I still have very less odds of renewal in normal processing timeline?

Hi

This is shared by one of member, thanks a lot for his kind gesture

You can check I-94 records (direct accessible online) / FOIA - for access to your entry/exit records from USA? You can take a print of these records and attach to your application.

https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html;jsessionid=LJTGVRXWgqW3NpqbLQ8kgPljFsvnB4SZp2LLJMHvskv21z1QgLRp!1358670245

For India you can apply to your nearby police station with color copies of passport and they will do the needful

All the best

Also, i have made trips to India, do i need to get the details from Indian consulate for the records?

Thanks

Hi there

Also i have following questions

Please reply

For all the Entry / Exits - especially Canada - (Entries by Road were not updated in Passport) - Do i need to apply for the details with any agency (Canada)
Also for family members -

For my kids - I believe submitting their school records with attendance would suffice
For my wife - she is home maker.. am not sure what details I would submit to justify her stay in Canada?

Members - Please share your experience / suggestions

Thank You
Sujamana

For the U.S. Records, the link has been given up thread.

For Canada: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/agency-agence/reports-rapports/pia-efvp/atip-aiprp/thr-rav-eng.html

India apparently does not provide records of movement: verify this by emailing the High Commission, and if they confirm, include their reply in the documents you send to CIC.

You should however, have stamps in your passport from India?

Provide the information requested for all family members. Have additional documents (school attendance etc) been requested for your wife & children?

i have applied for Entry / Exit records with US and Canada Border agency and got confirmation that my application submitted

For my wife, shall i apply for same record, even though she had no trips after we moved here

My important question is i have planned for India trip with family in August for a month and my PR renewal is due by Dec 2015. Would there be any issue at entry to Canada, if i have all these details for me and family?

Please share your valuable comments.

If this has been requested, yes.

What do you mean by "PR renewal is due by December 2015?

If you and your family members' PR cards are still valid on your return date to Canada, *and* you meet residency requirements, there should be no issue.

Thanks for the reply

I didn't apply for my PR renewal as it will expire by December 2015. I read somewhere, that renewals shall be applied only when the expiry date is within 3 months.

So far, am collecting these information as precautionary step, and there is no request from Government
