PR Card Renewal Related question

Hi,

I applied for the renewal of my PR card and got the letter to collect renewed PR card in 15 days time. While reviewing my PR card renewal application, IMM5444, I have noticed that I forgot to mention, in section C -19 Personal History, my USA visit while I was away from Canada. This information has no effect on my eligibility to keep my PR status as I visited USA while I was away. My question is, do I have to notify the immigration department at this stage when I have received notification to collect my renewed PR card. Kindly advice & oblige.
Thanks

The omission of such information is not material in that it doesn't change the outcome or the decision to renew your PR status or not. I am not familiar with what happens when you go to pick up your new card. If you have to take your current and old passports with you, then they will see that you have made that travel. Therefore, you may as well explain it before they see it, so it wouldn't raise questions. Just be honest an explain that you totally overlooked it because you were only thinking the times you exited and then re-entered Canada as apposed to where you have been when you were outside Canada.

My advise is not to be taken as an expert one.

Good luck

From what they have asked you to bring it does not seem they intend on verifying the entry and exit dates you listed in the application, or they would have asked you to bring all passports since becoming a PR.

When did you receive contact from them to go to their office if you don't mind me asking?
