I’ve submitted PR card renewal application online on Mar 17 and I still haven’t received the new card, here’s what happened:

Mar 17: Application submitted online
Apr 4: Called IRCC for update as I couldn’t link my application. I was told that my application was at “final stage”, after finalised my application the card would be sent for printing and mail
Apr 15: Still couldn’t link application, called again, agent said my card still not sent for printing and mailed yet
Apr 22: Raised webform and got replied the application still in process
Apr 30: Raised webform to enquired if I’ve ever missed any communication from IRCC, the agent replied “We verified the information you provided regarding the surpassed processing time and have forwarded it to the responsible office.”
May 9: Still haven’t heard or received anything

Also for the issue that I couldn’t link my application, after numerous emails, on May 2 the technical team finally replied they would look into the issue, but until today May 9 still no reply. So I cannot confirm whether my application already had “Final decision “ or still “In process”.
Can the experts from the forum please share, from your experience do you think my application has gone for further review?

I’d also like some advice that, is it ok to contact my MP for help at this stage or is it still early?
As this is my first time contacting MP, what kind of information I should include and is there anything I should aware of?

Also on the MP website it says “The expected date for the return of the election writs is Monday, May 19, 2025.” Does that mean I can only contact them after May 19?

Thank you very much for the help

Did you have any issues, like not meeting residency obligation? 730 days? Or any other issue? Probably, due to election, govt formation, rule changes... may affect processing time, I dunno.

Only away from Canada about 100 days. Can’t think of other issues except I don’t have a job

I don’t think so. I notice that ppl who posted their timeline here, which applied almost the same period or even later than me already received the card

~Update~
Raised webform last week and got reply today:

We verified the information you provided and can confirm that, following a previous enquiry, an agent took the appropriate actions to follow up on your request on April 30, 2025.

Rest assured that IRCC is making all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible, and that you will be contacted when a decision is made or if additional information is required.

Looks like my application is stuck and Canada post might go on strike next week, so no hope to receive the card any sooner.

Even worse, due to family matters I might have to go back to my home country in this few days. My current PR card is still valid, but if I leave the country now will that be any impact to the renewal process since the application is already stuck?

If your current PR card will be valid for your planned return, and your trip abroad is not long, should not be any problem. My understanding is that when they issue new cards, the old one is 'cancelled' in the system only after 30 or 60 days.

If you can have someone monitor and receive your new PR card, it can be couriered to you.
