Hi,

may I know when you sent your withdrawal letter? Was it after they sent you the PR Card pick up letter? How long does it take for them to process your withdrawal request? Thanks.

hi Sajixx
I applied for withdrawal (PR card renewal application) and was not responded back and ultimately I received RQ. Deadline to submit is April 30. Can you please share your experience. I have hired a lawyer but not satisfied.

1.Any one who successfully won the case on the first hearing can guide me and ppl in the same situation that which docs. are most important to submit.
2. Any one who remained successful on first hearing when applied on H&C ground (like me) and received their PR cards.

3. I spent 386 days in 2005-2006.

4. Now I am in Canada since July 6 2010

Thank you
Janay

Hi mht,
My dad has the same situation as yours. We applied in July for his PR card renewal but since he could not meet the residency requirement at that time they told us that we should wait till we hear from them. It's been 10 months now and we haven't heard a word. Now, I'm thinking of withdrawing his application and reapplying again (he meets the requirement now). But I have two concerns, I hope you can give me some information.

1- Did they return your PR card ? You know, if you want to reapply one of the required documents is the expired PR card. If they do not return the PR card what should we tell them when we reapply.
2- Have you reapplied yet ? I want to know if some one withdraws his/her application, what are the chances that he faces same troubles again ( I should note that now we have documents that show my dad has been here for 730 days).

I would appreciate it if you share your experience with me.

Thanks,

Hey Janay and Hasti,

Could you share your experience about withdrawal of pr card application. I am in a very bad situation where I applied for PR card renewal falling short of RO by 11 days and now my file is in the local office, Hamilton. I received the RQ and Absence history form, which I filled.
I would like to know if your experience with this. I now fully meet the RO (actually met before the application processing even started). I just made a mistake of applying before.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You would be better off withdrawing your application. Wait until they accept your withdrawal and then apply again as long as you meet the RO now. You can still travel to the US and back with your expired card.
