PR Card Renewal Application Status Online - How many days

Hi,

I applied for PR card renewal on 1st week of July. The application status is supposed to come online after 6 weeks. However, my application status is not yet visible in the online system. I have tried with the receipt number and my previous PR card number. I would like to know how long should I wait for checking the status? Members...could you pls share how long it took for your application status to be online? Also, the check processing times webpage shows "working on applications received until May 3,2013". Does it mean that when they get to July applications, only then the date will be shown? Is there any other way to check the application status? Pls share ur experiences...

Hi Leon,

It has been over 6 weeks since I sent my application. However, I cannot track the status of my application via the online tool. I have tried using the receipt number, old PR card number, and the client ID on the old PR card number. Is there any way to check the status of my application? How long does it usually take? Pls answer...

If the CIC page says processing applications received until date x, 2013 then if your application was received after that date your case is not on ecas yet...you got to wait. If the CIC date is past your received date then contact CIC.

Thanks Msafiri. Well the problem is the CIC status page has been frozen since Aug 7, although they were supposed to update it weekly. I wonder whether the strike action is causing delays in PR renewal applications!!!
