PR Card renewal (Address history gap between CRA and PR renewal Application)

I have reported to the CRA every year on my tax return that there have been no changes to my address, but I stayed at my parents' house in Japan for a year during the pandemic. I need to include this period in the Outside Canada section for my PR Card renewal. Will this discrepancy with what I reported to the CRA be a problem?

Well, unlikely to have "problem" with IRCC to renew your PR card.
Provide the true address history. Not the "mail address".

It could be a problem for CRA if you were receiving benefits to which you weren't entitled, but not IRCC.
