PR Card (New/Renewal) Processing Timeline 2021

Hi all, here is my final timeline for PR card renewal:

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on May 11, 2021.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on September 1, 2021.
3. We started processing your application on September 1, 2021. - DECISION MADE SAME DAY
4. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on September 27, 2021.

3. We started processing your application on September 29, 2021. - Decision Made
4. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on October 4, 2021.

My timeline so far:

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on June 7, 2021.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on September 24, 2021.
3. We started processing your application on September 24, 2021.

An interesting thing is that my status is still "In process" even though many people seem to be at the decision made stage. Should I be concerned or are there other people in the same boat? I'm only nervous because we are reaching the 2 week mark.

4. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on September 28, 2021.

Contact them wouldn't help too much before you receive your AOR. Because the AOR means your application is now being processed and is put within their system. I would suggest you give another 2 weeks of wait for now.

I just send my pr card renewal application the other day and just noticed that I forgot to include copy of my pr card with my package. It doesn't mention it in the application package but it mentions it in instructions. What to do now? Anybody had the same situation? Is it even required?

send the copy through webmail and write the details..also send the copy through post with a letter mentioning the details.

nothing to worry...they will start processing after 2-3 months ...in that time you can send the copy....

Unfortunately, they cannot. Unless they open the file, nothing can be done about this. They won't hold a copy of a PR for a file that's still not open

Mine took 27 days from inprocess/decision made to sending card. So I wouldn't stress.

Thank you for your message to encourage people who are anxiously waiting for an update.

Would you mind sharing that how long you stayed outside of Canada? I think they take more time on those applicants who stayed outside Canada. However I still don't understand why they don't look at the period applicants stayed inside like 2 years in the last 5 years if someone residing in Canada then they are good.

Hello.i applied for me.my wife and son. Application was received on June 14 in same package. My wife and son received AOR 29 sept. My wife decision was made instantly and we received card today. My son is still in process. I haven't received anything.

We received AOR on Oct 1st and our app was received there on Jun 17th.

Mine is still showing in process while my child and wife's status shows decision made.

We are in Canada for more than 2 years now and based on that I applied for renewal as 730 days of residency obligation has been met.

Would you mind sharing that how long you stayed outside of Canada?

Afternoon everyone!
I sent off my PR card renewal application and it was received in Sydney, NS on June 18th with Canada post tracking.
I’m seeing some people have received their AOR who submitted before and after this date..
Should I be worried I have not heard anything yet?
I’m scheduled to fly back to the UK in mid December to visit my sick grandmother and I’m starting to get a little anxious!
