I landed on 24th June with my family.
have been told by CIC that the PR card was mailed on September 8th 2015.
have not received the card in the mailbox and its 28th September today .

Can anyone tell me whats the average time it takes for the cards to be delivered after post

Thanks

Up to 6 weeks.

No, I don't understand that either (Canada Post is notoriously bad, but...). However, that's the usual CIC response :(.

Thanks for the response.
This is ridiculous really to see CIC take so long to print / process cards of already accepted permanent residents and then wait for 6- 8 weeks just for the mail ... with no decent / reliable tracking or status verification system

It also astounds me that CIC doesn't have some kind of system set up to make the time between landing and receiving the card easier. Why can't the CoPR be valid for travel for maybe 3 months? It's valid for the initial entry, so I don't see why they can't make it a multi-entry visa if they know the PR card is going to take that long.

Hello Guys,

Could you please let me know how you could check the status of the processing of the PR card? The CIC status check has a last line that I entered Canada, but nothing about the PR card.

I have landed in September 18 and returned back to my home country. My friend would receive the card and send it to me but to date he still hadn't received anything. The processing times said it takes 44 days, but does this time include the mailing?

Thanks in advance
