Hi, I am travelling to Carribean on May, 12-19. I just noticed that my PR card expires on May 26th. Am I still ok to travel? Also if I apply to renew my PR card now will my old one still be valid until I receive a new one?

Yes, you will return before your PR card expires. Your old one is valid until the 26th.

Thank you! I think I am going to apply for an urgent renewal tomorrow, if it's ready on time - great, if not - I'll just travel with my current PR card, which is still going to be valid for the duration of my trip. Do you think that would be ok?

The key thing is to have 730 days in the 5 years preceding the application date where you've been a PR for more than 5 years. Is your day count good?

Yes, of course - I only went on a few short trips in the last 5 years so I've got more than enough.
