Hello,im a canadian citizen was born in canada but lived all my life in Greece,15 months ago me and my wife came into canada both as visitors, because
i didnt have a canadian passport with me i just used my greek passport.14 months ago i sponsored her for PR,the immigration worker that filled up our pappers sent them to wrong places and they kept on going around canada till now we resieved a letter from visa office Rome that our pappers are there and even though we live in canada they are prosecing out of canada.because it was over a year they asked for medical exams again and my wife got a extended visa for 2 more years.we were hopping that they were in the last steps because only the medical was left but from march that they resieved them till now we havent got responce.i would like to ask.we bought tickets to visit our families in christmas, but we are flying out of the states.we will drive to seattle with our car and fly out of there because the tickets were cheaper.do you think there is a chance they wont let her in on the way back?even though eu countries dont need a visa?are we going to have any issues with her PR card process??Thank you very much i hope you can help me on this one because we are so comfussed

It won't affect her PR process - that's the point of Outland applications - she can be anywhere in the world. CBSA doesn't have to allow her to re-enter, but that would be rather unusual.

Good luck!

You said you were born Canadian, since you don't have a passport do you have your birth certificate? Once your wife leaves Canada the 2 year visa will no longer be valid. So have your birth certificate, marriage certificate, anything that proves you have a PR application in process, take the current visitor's record even tho it is no longer any good it will show that she was permitted before to wait out the process here, it's Christmas time families visit during this time of year. as computergeek said it is completely up to the IO to let her re-enter or not but usually if you show them you are working on making things legal they tend to work with you.... not all but... Good Luck!

It is the BSO's discretion. It is very unlikely they will refuse to allow her to accompany you, but it is within their right to do so. They cannot refuse you. As a Canadian Citizen, your right of entry is guaranteed by the Charter of Rights. A Permanent Resident has a right of entry by statute. But a foreign national has no such right - it's by discretion of the border officer.
