Can I lose my permanent resident (PR) status after its expiry although me and my family staying inside Canada.

Your PR do not expire. Your PR Card does.

Your PR card is for proof of your status when you travel BACK to Canada.

In theory, you do not need to maintain a valid PR card if you stay inside Canada.

No. You must wait until you meet the minimum RO to be eligible for renewal.
