PR Card dispatch queries

Greetings,

I have made a soft landing on 16th Feb, 2018 in Toronto. I was successful in linking my PR card application with my Express Entry Profile. The PR application shows approved today i.e. 28th Mar, 2018. My question is:

1) Assuming that approved means dispatched, how long will it take for the PR card to reach the mail box?
2) The friend's address that i have given is on vacation and his house is empty. Will the mail be delivered in his absence or should someone sign for that package?

1)depends on where you live in canada. it can take anywhere from 3-7days
2)it via regular mail. it will be left in his mailbox

quick question though; how did you link your application? i landed recently and still cant link it.

Well, i was lucky i guess. It got linked on the first day itself in 6th or 7th attempt. The trick is that it is sensitive to even CAPS. So try out entering info with all CAPs.

I also did a softlanding last year but used the services of a relocation company for the mail forwarding. Had no issues. They received my card after 45 days or so and sent it to me by DHL and i got it in a week

When did u receive ur PR Card? My status in home page under details is 'submitted' but when I click on ' check status and messages' in final decision it is shown as ''approved".
My last status change date is shown as 12 April...

I am not sure when i received the PR card in mailbox as it was my friends address and he was not in town. I landed on 16th Feb and my application was approved on 27th Mar. Now i am not sure how many days it took to reach the mailbox, but i got an update from my friend on 17th April that my PR card is with him

My status changed to Approved on October 11th. My cousin is checking the mail daily, he hasn't seen any post for me yet.
I am in the process of interviewing with some companies. Will they ask for a copy of the PR card? I have my SIN number with me.
Any answers would help!

No company asks for the copy of PR card. You are good with the SIN number. BTW when did you land in Canada? I'm asking because I landed on 7th Aug, and mine still shows in process.

Hi Guys. I am in a weird situation. I and my wife landed on Aug 15th. My PR card status got approved on 12th October and my friend received my card on my behalf on 19th October. So basically within the expected time frame of 7 days.
However my wifes application was approved on 5th october, a week before mine and her card still hasnt been received.
I hear cards are dispatched in batches. Should i be worried?

Hey, I also landed on 7th August, but came back after couple of weeks. On 24th Sep I received photo re-submission request, got the photos resubmitted through one of my friend. Now there is no updated in the CIC account, I wonder how much time it will take them to process the PR cards now?
Anybody else in similar situation ?

I too got the photo request on 24th Sep, which I sent to them on the same day, and it got delivered to them on 27th Sep. My card was approved yesterday. So you could add around 1 month time from the day your photos were delivered to them.
