Dear All,
From all previous Threads , its clear that its not illegal to send the PR Card outside the Canada by post or Courier.
My Question: When a Friend/Family Member Send PR Card by Courier ( i.e DHL/Fedex), most of the time courier agents ask what is inside the envalope, so the answer can be the Documents? Or is it necessory to mention that the documents contain the PR Card?
Secondly, does the PR Card has any Electronic Chip Normally? I believe its just Hard Plastic Card, which has only the Barcode reader, which can not be detected as chip based Card?

Thanks in advance about your feedback.

PR Card is plastic card with barcode- no electronic chip...

However I would not suggest you to ask your relative or anyone to send you through fedex/DHL courier service. Wait for some one who is going to canada and would return to carry your PR card. In case it is lost, there is more hassle to re-apply and for that you would need to be in canada and to enter canada one need to apply for Travel Document from canadian embassy outside canada.

Hi Dear,
Thanks for your reply.

I was just wondering, why there is chance that how using such a reputable the courier ( DHL/Fedex) , PR Card can be lost? any similar case known so far?

I second aijazsoomro. The couriers are far more reliable that any other mailing service worldwide.

UPS lost my WES credentials...which resulted in 1 week delay for me...

I See, UPS is obviously bit cheaper service, but is there any doubt in Fedex/DHL? both are end to end tracked?

Hi Everyone,

This discussion is eye opening one, because we all will have to sometime courier our important documents like Passport/PR Cards etc...

I do not believe it that courier companies can be so careless...

eg, deyka... lost WES Report, similarly I read some one losing Stamped Passport during courier.

It is not about the money paid to these couriers... but it is about the faith and trust which we have on them...

I strictly expect them to be 100% accurate... 0% tolerance and no less than that...

Regards,

How is canada post ? Is it reliable?

UPS I think is the largest followed by FeDEx and DHL and the courier was tracked.....in my case the lady from UPS told me very rarely in case of smaller parcel there is a risk of it falling of the conveyer belt...and getting lost..but then they were very understanding and helped me in getting the duplicate report delivered fast...whatever courier you choose there is always a probability...

Hahaha... That's funny. (no!)
We used FedEx (expensive, slow, but trackable). It was opened by US Customs on it's way via the USA to the UK.
