Please try and match your duties to the NOC codes described in the following link

Since you are the best judge of your duties and responsibilities , you will be able to analyze which code suit your duties the best .

However if there is any confusion in between two NOC codes please send an email to

NC-NOC-CNP-GD2@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca

Hope this helps .

Hello Members:

I am married and have created my EE profile with a CRS of 459. As of now, my wife wont be accompanying me but in any case her PCC is required as well.

But, the issue is I dont have my wife's name on my passport and neither does she. I have already applied for PCC and would receive it in a week of two.

Now, I have the following queries:

Do we need to have new passports and get each other's name on those and then get the PCC done?

OR

Can we get PCC completed individually through our old passports and attach a marriage certificate?

Please help.

Hi,

I had a similar situation but my wife will accompany me.

Where have you applied ? If I am not wrong you have booked an appointment and not visited the PSK as yet. Because they will ask you to make a new passport in which your spouse name will be added. This condition is only valid if you have declared your marital status as married in the PCC application.

Getting a tatkal passport is very easy and quick. Just a matter of 2 weeks and after that you can get PCC on the same day :)

As Bikcon said, I would also recommend to apply new passports of both of you in Tatkal scheme. After getting passports, you can get PCC next day. Making new passports with adding names will prevent any issue comes in future.

PCC has nothing to do with marital status.. To prove marital status, you just need to provide your marriage certificate..

I faced a similiar issue when I went for PCC.. My application indicated "married" but i wasn't carrying my marriage certificate since it was not mentioned in the list of documents required.. So the staff in the front counter referred me to the passport officer.. she marked on my application asking me to go ahead.. since marital status isnt mentioned in the pcc..

Yes. I second you. You need not have the spouse name in your passport just for the sake of proving your marital status. Even for PCC, if you have filled the marital status as married but do not have your spouse name on passport, they will just ask you to provide the marriage certificate. This is from my own personal experience.

Common sense says that PCC has got nothing to do with spouses' name being on each other's passports, but, ARE YOU SURE?? coz dont get me wrong, CIC gives you a time period of only 90 days i believe, so i dont want to take any chances.

In that case apply for a new passport under tatkal scheme..you'll get it in less than a week and you can remain tension free..

I faced similar issue. My spouse name was not added in passport after our marriage. After I received ITA in November, I applied for passport for adding spouse name under normal scheme, it just took 25 minutes at passport Seva Kendra and marriage certificate was the only document asked. I received my updated passport after 4 days. (Note- i applied on Monday morning and received updated passport on Thursday morning under normal scheme).

One of my friend said that not adding spouse name in passport could land you in suspicion as it's an immigration process. You need everything perfect. A little mistake could land your whole application in trouble. Better not to take any chances. This is only my opinion.

That makes a lot of sense. Cant afford to take any chance with these people.

Thanks.
