Another week begins :)

Dear All Experts,

After getting PPR on 28 Sept, I had submitted the Passports on 30 sept and subscribed a facility of SMS updates. Though that, I just came to know that my passports were sent to Bangalore...!!!

As per the standard practice, it should go to High Commission, New Delhi. I am little worried why this has happened in my case?

Kindly guide.

Thanks and Regards with best wishes to all...

Should be good enough.
The officers normally do not ask for POF but just a declaration if you're carrying more than 10000 CAD. Note this amount should include funds from cash (CAD), forex, TC AND your transferred amount to CAD in canadian bank (if any). My personal advice would be to take at least 70% of your POF as CAD and rest you can show as local bank statement (this is my advice purely, please connect with other senior members to check)

I will be doing a soft landing next week and have a question regarding POF.
My current savings A/C is with CITIBank and my Debit Card is an International Debit card with which I can withdraw cash in Canada too.
I am planning to get a statement along with a covering letter stating the balance (INR & CAD) along with my Debit Card number.
Will this be good as POF document?

Thank you.

Bangalore? I guess they probably have a sort facility there and they forward the PPs to Delhi from Bangalore. Check with them.

Your AOR letter would give details of when you need to inform CIC. Check that.
I dont think a business travel needs to be informed to CIC.

I have submitted eAPR in last week of Sep which also contains travel history. If I travel to US for business , does this needs to informed to CIC? If it needs to be communicated, can it delay the process?

Same with me, I submitted PP at ahmedabad on 21st Sept and second day received sms just like you. Don't worry you will get it back very soon. It's normal process from CIC side.
I received my PP on 27th Sept.

I believe they send it to Bangalore for cases that are not in North/Central India. I have seen first hand ICT/Business visas are sent to Bangalore from Hyderabad and surrounding locations (when the applicants believed they would be sent to Delhi).

Hi All,

I have worked in Canada during 2013-2014 for 1 year. I am currently in India.
On September 28 I got my PNP nomination. Now I am collecting all required documents.
Do I need to get Criminal Record Check (RCMP) for Canada?
I read it in the instructions as "You must provide a police certificate for every country, region or territory, other than Canada, in which you lived for 6 months or more"
Please suggest. Sorry if I am posting this in wrong thread. Your help is greatly appreciated.

CIC will contact you if you need an RCMP check. It's not required initially with your application.

Thanks a lot for the reply PG28. I heard from my collogues that, submitting this up-front wont delay your application processing later. Is that true?

Yeah that could be true, cos i submitted mine when it was requested - which was a 30 day turnaround for me.

No activity from NDVO.... :'(
