Hi:)

Since all of you have already crossed this stage, would be great if you could advise me. I am from India and i'm planning to apply for Canadian PR.

My question is with regard to the ECA. I have completed my Masters in Communication from Bangalore and my Bachelors in English from Calcutta. I would like to know whether I need to have both these degrees assessed or only my Masters degree? Also, which assessment institution would you suggest I choose - WES or CES?

Wishing all of you luck with your applications:)

They say 5 when you call them, but from what ove gathered on this forum it's around 10 working days..
Oh, you can call and ask them about the status of your passport? They're pretty unwilling to talk about anything on the phone usually.

Hi,

You need to have both your degrees assessed in order to gain maximum points.

I would suggest WES for assessment. First go to their website, use the free ''degree equivalence tool'' and find out the equivalence of your respective degrees in Canada.

Still waiting for my PPR,
Will be completing 7 months on 16th September.

I am FSW (No PNP)

Just Masters should be fine. That gives you the highest points anyway.

I'm yet to submit my passport; will be doing that tomorrow.
I only enquired of I needed an appointment to do so....and at the same time asked how long the stamping would take - to which I got a reply..usually 5 days.
But yes ...if you've submitted it....then theyre reluctant to give a reply.

Well yes..I intend to hang around for a while, figure out how things are in regards to the job and hopefully recieve the pr card before I fly back.

Hi,

I finally received medical request. NDVO has asked to email the scanned copy of Police certificate and first last pages of passports.

My question is I have my PCC issued in February 2016. Can I send the same PCC or do I need to apply for a new PCC and then send. Please advice. Thanks.
