just received a request for passport submission.

Does that means my file is approved?

and it states notification of chances. I got married during processing so will it be fine if I notify them regarding my spouse. Hope it don't dely application processing.

Yes, you can include your spouse, yes it will delay your application as it requires extra time for processing. But this is still much faster and easier than adding your spouse through family class sponsorship which takes years.

From your timelines i can see that you are PNP outlander from India. Did You or your employer got any verification call? Also, Your BG check changed to In progress within a month which is quite unique for PNP outland candidates.

No verification call to me or employer as I submitted sufficient supporting evidences along with reference letter. But I noticed few anonymous views in Linkedin profile during background check. Please go through the timeline the background check changed back ín progress' after almost 99 days of AOR. Previous, change of ín progress' is usual which usually happens in all cases once medical passed.
I second on opinion of fast processing of PNP applicants as they spend considerable time in eligibility through Province at the time of nomination. So job is presume to be simpler for CIC to conclude. Outland PNP may be priorities for CIC as inland are already in Canada with jobs and they may like to have new candidates for Occupations in Demand (I guess so).

Final decision: This application has been approved

I sent the passports to NDVO on 25th April and received a message yesterday that it has been processed and sent to Mumbai VFS. I should probably receive in a day or two.
