PR Application sent yet I worked over a month after work permit expired

Hi guys, I am creating this thread for my friend who is in a difficult situation and need some advice.

He was on a French International Mobility Visa and this work permit expired on January 25th 2020. He applied for PR through express entry (as he was eligible) on the same day (January 25th 2020) assuming because of wrong information that he would be on implied status and therefore allowed to keep working.
He later realized that he should have applied for an extension of his work permit at least 30 days prior to its expiration.

However, he worked from January 25th to March 16th (when the establishment he manages closed because of Covid-19).
We are still in the 90 days period after the expiration of the work permit but a few questions remain:
-should he simply fill up for 5710e and follow the checklist 5556e?
-Will the time he worked after the work permit expired jeopardize his PR application?
-anything else he should know/do?

He needs to apply for Restoration as a visitor.

Yes, working illegally for 2 months can affect his app.

Thanks for your help! So you think he should apply for visitor status? Even though his PR application is through his work?

On a separate note, does anybody has a contact for a n immigration lawyer that could advise him for the few questions he's got without charging a full hour of their time? Times are tight at the moment...

He doesn't qualify for a work permit.

I didn't mean for free I meant just a one time consultation where they answer every questions he's got.
What I mean is that he has a work permit letter support for BC / Provincial nominee, it should have been attached to his work permit application but obviously he forgot and only did the PR part. Now he is confused and doesn't know if his best shot is to apply for the work permit like he was supposed to or not

Update: My friend applied for a restoration of status as a visitor before the 90 days were up (yesterday) and today his application has been approved. Now should he apply for a work permit with the recommendation letter from the province of BC? Or what should be his next step?

Sorry he is just very unsure and getting in touch with the government is really hard at the moment

I am not familiar with PNP work permit requirements. You can create a new thread in the PNP section of the forum.
