Hi guys, I am creating this thread for my friend who is in a difficult situation and need some advice.
He was on a French International Mobility Visa and this work permit expired on January 25th 2020. He applied for PR through express entry (as he was eligible) on the same day (January 25th 2020) assuming because of wrong information that he would be on implied status and therefore allowed to keep working.
He later realized that he should have applied for an extension of his work permit at least 30 days prior to its expiration.
However, he worked from January 25th to March 16th (when the establishment he manages closed because of Covid-19).
We are still in the 90 days period after the expiration of the work permit but a few questions remain:
-should he simply fill up for 5710e and follow the checklist 5556e?
-Will the time he worked after the work permit expired jeopardize his PR application?
-anything else he should know/do?
