Job Offer........
  1. Yes
So after months and months of hassle and getting all of our documents ready and sent, we were greeted with a lovely rejection message today, with this reason:

"The Police certificate that you provided with your application is not acceptable as it does not cover the full period of time. You have indicated in your address/personal history that you resided there from 2014-11- 30 to 2017-06-07. The Police certificate only covers time to 2017-03- 27."

So basically we prepared all of our documents when we first applied for PR in March, which we had to cancel so that we could process our Provincial Nomination. Then we re-applied in July and now our Police Certificate is "out-of-date".

It's not a huge issue, but why did our application have to be REJECTED? WHY COULD THEY NOT JUST LET US UPLOAD A NEW CERTIFICATE?

Instead, we have to start completely from scratch, like the last few months of waiting were for nothing. What a fucking joke.

Hi.
I got the exact same disappointing letter too... after almost two years of waiting, I got my ITA, only to get my application rejected due to the same reason of my PCC not covering an earlier period. CIC outright rejected my entire application, when I could have easily arranged for a new PCC. Fortunately, I got a fresh ITA in one of the subsequent draws, but I'm still in a mess currently as I am trying to get my documents updated. I might have to reject the ITA I received to buy more time to update some documents... losing hope.

Hi,
Sorry to hear that. I got a rejection letter today with different reason(my LMIA was not long enough). not a good day! haha
Btw, I have a question about PCC.
I lived in the USA for 5 years, and I got PCC from FBI last year. It's been a while since I got this from FBI, but I I've never visited the USA after. Can I still use the PCC I got last year?
Or should I get a new one even thought I never visited the USA again?

Thanks for your time! :)

Hi Marty,

Sorry to hear about your rejection cos of PCC. Having been rejected for that before myself (my story: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-im...-apply-again-with-same-pnp-nomination.395829/), i can understand your frustration..its one of the things CIC can be "mean" about. I would like to clarify if the PCC you submitted specifically mentioned a timeline? This is due to the rejection letter you quoted which states that the PCC only mentioned your timeline from 2014-11- 30 to 2017-06-07. CIC VO's will by default look for things like this to drop the "axe" on an app. CIC regulations by default require a PCC from every country you have stayed in for 6 or more months irrespective of how far back that was or how old you were.

I would suggest getting a PCC that states that you and all supporting applicants have no known criminal records for said/any country which you have resided in for 6 months or more. If PCC still comes with timelines, i would suggest attaching an LOE explaining this.

Since you are a provincial nominee, i suggest you create a new EE profile(all your details will be automatically moved from the old one to the new one) and contact your nominating province to transfer your nomination to the new EE profile created. This was you just loose a few weeks at best. You're defo not gonna be starting from scratch.

All the best.

To the best of my Knowledge, PCC's have validity periods. If the PCC you got from the FBI is still valid then you should go ahead and apply with it. However, if its close to the end of its validity period or already past, Kindly apply for a new PCC and use that.

Hope this helps.

So sorry to hear about this rejection Marty.

I'm trying to put this into context as I assume you would not have uploaded an expired PCC.
Is the PCC for the country you are currently residing in or one you just moved from?
When they say 'from ..... to 2017-06-07...is this the date your submitted your eAPR?
If yes, that means a gap of 10 weeks from PCC date of 2017-03-27.
Does that mean your PCC should not be that old for use?

I wish you the very best. It will turn out positively eventually!

Hello All,

I would like to share my experience and seek guidance...PR file for my friend's sister got rejected twice:
1. The Police certificate from INDIA that you provided with your application is not acceptable as it does not cover the full period of time spent in INDIA. You have indicated in your address/personal history that you resided in INDIA from 2006/10/01 to 2018/03/01.

We submitted the file again and this time we ensured that we got PCC from 0/10/2006.
But the file got rejected again:

2. The Police certificate from India that you provided with your application is not acceptable as it does not cover the full period of time spent in India. You have indicated in your address/personal history that you resided in India from 2003 to 2018.

I noticed that this time they have picked her work experience dates which go back to 2003....I am so confused as to what dates do they really need the PCC for?

Looks like I should not be providing any information beyond 10 years (whether its the address history or the work history or anything else)

Please suggest as we are devastated by the 2 cancellations back to back...

PCC has date of stay? I was not aware of it. My pcc in USA does not have any residential dates..it just says "a search of finger pint provided by the individual has revealed no prior arrest data at the fbi. This does not preclude further criminal history at the state or local level"

Where did you get the PCC from? Get it from the PSK

Hello, In my Indian PCC there is no period of date or year written , its only said 'there is no adverse information in respect of ...... .... for the period of his stay in India '. Do I need to worry about that? I got it from High commission of India, London.
