Hello,
My wife has been in Canada as a visitor since September 6th, we were married on September 14th and are in the process of completing her applications to becoming a permanent resident. I am a Canadian citizen.
My first question is would it be better to apply for her work permit with her PR application? Or would it be better to apply online after we have received first stage approval? We are able to start an online application when we select yes on the following question:
I applied for permanent residence and was found eligible (first stage approval) under one of the following classes:
Also, is there any advantages to applying in-land vs out-land? Even though she is in Canada I've read that she can apply out-land. I know the wait times have more or less become the same under each status, but applying outland gives us the ability to appeal a decision, but if an interview is requested she must go back to her country to complete the interview. Is that correct?
Any information regarding work permits and applying in-land vs out-land would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Paul
