If your file gets transferred to Calgary IRCC, it doesn't necessarily mean SS. Normal security check can take anywhere from 3-6 months to be honest. Based on my gcms notes, mine took just under 6 months
True, its just they are very slow in processing every file in general

@Jamiez04 Did you receive your ppr email?

Not yet. I called IRCC today and the agent I spoke to recommended waiting for a week to two weeks from today. So, I'm in the waiting game now. Lol

what do you mean by picked up randomly? Please explain.

Security Screening is not done for everyone but if your security check exceeds 3 months, know that it was sent in for security screening. I received a copy of CBSA notes that I requested for over a month ago. It actually showed that my application was under security screening which started in August 2018 and ended in March 2019 (7 months). Another way to tell if your application was sent in for SS is by looking at the first 5 activities in your gcms notes. If they are all security related with redacted information and you find SP 15/SP 16 on the top right hand corner of those pages, it means your application is in security screening.

Hi. To check if my application is in SS, which 5 entries in GMCS notes should be checked. Can you let me know the pages or heading in these notes?

Hello,
So if you look through your gcms notes, you'll come to a section that says Activity 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and so on. Look at the first 5 activities. If they are all security related. So, for example, the Activity 1 says "Security", Activity 2 says "Security" etc, then it's possible that your application is under screening. To confirm that, you can request for CBSA notes and it will show you. In your gcms notes, the security section will have redacted information, so you will only see blank pages.CBSA notes will show what's been done.
