Hi everyone, my husbands application for PR is almost 3yrs.. Until now, we don't have results yet if our application is approved or not. The inadmissabilty of his illigitimate son due to health conditions is also one factor. I read on the thread, if one of ur family member is inadmissable, the rest of the family will be refused. I just need clarification, why is CIC do not inform us about our results if our PR application is refused. It's a bit hanging.. I need your opinions please.
Hi,
Short answer - no final decision as all the admissibility/eligibility checks have not been completed - so no results of the application yet.
I read your last posts - when did you receive the letter rendering your child as inadmissible? The letter also serves to give you time and a chance to overturn the inadmissibility of your son - this is why at the end of the letter you were asked to show proof. The assumption made here - is that you know the implications of this inadmissibility - the likelihood that all of you will be inadmissible. You posted that before and was given the responses by the others here. Now if there is no challenge to this finding for your son - as manifested by your response to cancel the child's application or remove him from the application - then this may complete the admissibility checks and an assessment for this admissibility check will be made.
This maybe the only one to which the VO is waiting on before a final decision is made. Given the time that has elapsed, so you may have the decision on the application soon in the coming weeks. Note again, the great possibility of refusal due to the inadmissibility of one of your family members.
I cannot fault you for trying to get a resolution to this very long and drawn-out process - whatever the outcome may be. It is frustrating and taxing - and people need to move on with their lives. Sometimes you get to the point you just want this done and over with.
All the best to you and your family.
