PR Application Form Questions

Hi, I was an international student in Canada now on Post Graduate Work permit. I completed one year work experience and am planning to apply for PR under Canadian Experience Class in the coming month. I had a couple of questions if anyone could help me answer:

1. In the form IMM0008ENU, they ask for family information. I am single and parents are residing out side Canada. In the future I would like to sponsor them and bring to Canada. In the Dependants section, should I include their details as well (although they would not be accompanying me to Canada in the short term)?

2.I am applying from within Canada. Should I submit police certificates and fingerprints for the first application set?

3.Someone told me that I need to show proof of funds with my application. But I do not see any such requirement in the document checklist. Should I send my bank statements with the application?

Appreciate!

No, dependendents are your children. You don't have to include your parents in this form. The 'additional family information' form includes
details about your parents.

You don't need police certificates from Canada. However, you need certificates from all other countries you stayed in for more than 6 months.
See >> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5609ETOC.asp#5609E4 under 'Police certificates'.

3.Someone told me that I need to show proof of funds with my application. But I do not see any such requirement in the document checklist. Should I send my bank statements with the application?

No, that's not required. Not sure who told you that it was, but that person clearly had no idea what he was talking about.

Appreciate!

See comments above.
Hope it helped.

I agreed with Toby about question 1 & 3, but for #2 get everything done and add it to your initial application. we have had so many experiences in this forum that later on their application process delayed only for police certificate and stuff like that. I understand that checklist said it's optional, but don't follow it.
For Canada make sure you get RCMP certificate.

Thanks for the reply,,,,,
I have 2 more questions...
- I recently filed my taxes with CRA 2 days ago and might take some time to get a NOA (Notice of Assessment). Was wondering if I
submit my T4s without a NOA, my application would be rejected? Is there something I can do to replace the NOA like paystubs and
proof showing that I Efiled my taxes etc?

- The document checklist IMM5610 photo requirements (section 14) says "Supply (6) photo for each of your family, whether accompanying you or not and yourself". I am perplexed by the definition of family here too. Does family here means spouses and children only or does it include parents as well?

Appreciate

Just wait for NOA.
I understand that you want to bring your parents to Canada. Here is my advise to you. Get your PR first, then file applications for your parents. the reason i'm saying that is because until CIC process application for your parents, you can bring them to canada with super multiple entry Visa until they receive PR like you.
