I'm still not sure what to do with the passport. But since I'm already in Canada I have no rush on getting them faster. So I guess I'll just send them. Shuhash I hope you get your passport soon it's incredible how much time they take for everything. I do know that some offices were recently close so that's why the are slowly. Let's see how long they take with mine. I guess I'll have to expect the best but prepare for the worst.

They send me an e-mail, Soop. They also requested 2 photos, UPS envelopes and $490 CAN for RPRF.

Thank you Marnest! I think you'll get yours pretty soon. I did Medicals on May 15th and passport was request on Sep 27th so it took about 4 months an a half to get PPR after medicals.

Hi soop,
I am currently residing in Canada, i got an update from our MP today that my medical has not been received by the visa office. I called my DMP and checked with them the status of my medicals, and they told me that it will take 4 months for Ottawa to process and forward the medicals to LA visa office.. I hope they are right and my medicals was actually received by Ottawa..My MP said all I have to do is wait..It means we need to wait one more month before we get our PPR.. Hope we will also have a positive result from Cic.. Goodluck to you..

I am not sure if i should be pissed or happy .. with blessing of Allah we got our passport back with visa today for LA office .. my son holds a US passport and no visa was stamped on his passport ..

do they not stamp PR visa on US passport? does anyone know??

My consultant just confirmed my son won't need to visa to gain PR status in Canada. So i would say - with the blessing of almightly Allah we now have ganied PR visa of Canada and want to thank all members for their valuable opinions over past 2 years .. wish us luck .. on a negative note - coversation regarding my employment in Calgary didn't work out ( they needed someone urgently ) and don't have a job anymore -- inshallah if i could find one then i would be able find another one inshallah .. i m not going to wait for my US green card and decided to move at the of October and land in Calgary inshallah ..

Thanks .. i just wish if i only had this visa around september 15th or so ... i guess Allah kept something better for me ... i am planning on landing Oct 27th .. expecting an interview .. but i would probably need a miracle to pull this one off .. my expertise is in Power and Natural Gas .. but I would be interviewing for Oil ( Crude and Products ).. please pray for me so that i can somehow pull this off ..

Guys - one bit of advise -- make sure to network with people in the industry -- you shall at least get an interview .. linkedin is a great place to connect with people .. before you go.. introduce yourselves to other people and speak to them .. i started like -- hey i m so and so .. planing on moving there... i dont know too many ppl bla bla bla .. then asked for their advise or if they could introduce me to other ppl in the industry .. .. i didnt ask them for a job directly .. then .. next thing i know one replied back asking me if i would be intereste in a role and be available for an interview .. so networking does work .. i haven't got not even a single call so far by applying online .. but i m not drawing any conclusion yet .. and dont have a job either ( not in canada )
