Hey guys, I got my passport back. It took 5 weeks for visa stamping.

It seems your timeline and my is saMe.i did medical on june 5th.But still didn't hear back anything from them.Are you in US or canada?I applied from us,thats why it is taking long time.

yes, i did follow up with my MP. Their office sent out an email inquiry on tues and on fri my e-case status changed to 'decision made'. LA VO have not responded to the inquiry but i will assume the email helped move things along.

i only contacted his office last week tues. they said once they hear back from the consulate they are going to call me. i've received no such call so far which means LA have not responded to their inquiry.
