It's like the never ending story, isn't it? If your ecas states your file is in process it shouldn't be any problem with your file. But as Rod said try the buffalo office maybe they can clarify. I think you should just look at the ecas because your file is in process and it exists otherwise you wouldn't be able to access your application status. Have you try calling them? 1888 242 21 00

Hi there! I am new in this forum and i have been reading your post since last week .
I have been waiting for my med request too.. My ECAs status is "in process" we have reviewed your Application and started processing on Feb 7, 2012.. I send an email requesting change of mailing address and asking for an update, but until now they have not responded. I hope to get MR soon..

Hey you should have received your MR by now as we have same timeline. If you have moved from your previous address, ask them if they received a mail from LA consulate. I updated my mailing address few months ago (they even emailed back stating that my add was updated) but still they have sent my MR to the old address. I'm just afraid that same thing happened to you.

Thank you for responding to my post. 3 months eh...Buffalo transferred my file to LA on April 12 2012. Dunno why it took them so long to put the file in process. Have you got your ppr yet? Where you asked to submit additional documents when your file got transferred?

You were right . I just got an email from LA visa office yesterday and they confirm that they have my file. Thay said they could not found it because they used my old file number which I am not aware that i have a new one.. They also informed me that they already sent my MR early march but in my old mailing address.. I wonder why they sent it to the old address when i gave them an update before we moved.. Anyways the officer will resend it to the new one.. I hope to get my MR next week. Do you have any idea how long it takes for them to mail it? I hope they will give an extention in my 120 days..Thanks for the info. Lots of time has been wasted.

My file was trasferred to LA office nov 16, in process and reviewed feb 7, 2012 Visa office they sent my medical early mArch but i have not receive it until now since they mailed it to the old address . They are very slow, but processing times change depending on each file. So you'll probably get yours sooner than 3 months. I don't know why they took forever with me.
I haven't get my PPr yet, I just got the MR and they also requested police clearences from my country. They gave me 120 days to send them this documents. I get the medicals done on May 14th and they told me they willl send the results in 10 days. But the police clearances are such a drag to get because I need two Federal and state. I wish they just had ask me for the Medicals, but what can I do it has to be done.
If everything goes well, I'm assuming my PPR will be ready on August.

That's good news! Now you just have to wait for your MR, I don't know how long it take them to mail it. Did they ask for any other documents beside the medicals?

I haven't get my PPR I just get the medicals done on monday May 14th. It was a long process and it was very hard to get an appointment that soon because most of the immigration doctors that I called were giving apointments until june. Also it was quite expensive, I was not aware of that. But anyways, it's done and they told me that they will send the results in 10 days, so let's see how long it take Los Angeles office to receive my results.
I still need to get the police clearences and those are not that easy to get so i'm still in the process of getting those. They gave me 120 days so hopefully the time will be enough.

Hello Marnest! Good to know that everything is doing good. I would think 7 days will be good enough for them to send you your new med request. For me, it was sent on the 2nd of May and I received it 7th. As soon as you receive the request, book it to a doctor duly responsible for medicals coz it really is hard to find schedule. In my case, one applicant backed out on that day so they gave me his slot. Otherwise, I have to wait for another month before being scheduled. This is it! Our time has come...continue to cross your fingers and pray to God!

I know, it's our time now.. God is so good that he put everything into place for us. The long wait is over.. I hope to get my MR soon just like yours... I hope you get your medicals this week so that you can make an appointment right away. I think you still have enough time to get them done. You can always ask for an extension, it was their mistake to send the forms to your old adress anyway. And if they just ask for the medicals then you are just one step to get your PPR. And you are right, the long wait is over.

guys, my file was transferred in april - in process may 1st and got med request dated may 7th .. they didn't ask for anything except for RPRF...no bank statement or PCC
