I think you can go for a representative for the passport stamping. However I would check with the LA just to be sure (unless the letter says you can already). If you are going to ask a representative, write the letter and get it notarized. Remember to include information on the letter like the Passport# or Driver License Number of your representative on the letter.

Best of luck

I agree with Rod that it would be best to contact LA VO and see what they suggest. Since you have relatives over there, I do not anticipate any problem. Your representative must carry his/her ID and your authorization letter--I am sure you know that. Good luck......and enjoy the moment.

Best,
Bonny

It has been more than 3 weeks since my passports reached the LA VO. They had encashed the RPRF draft as of last week. My E-Cas status is still showing as "In Process". I am hoping I will get my passports back soon. I need them by March middle :-X.

Thnx rod, i just wonder as i already my imm. consultant doing my wrk and now i want to use representative fr this...does that make any difference and what about that form no.IMM 5476 for representative form.....can i use that here or not?....reply asap.....thnx

I don't think a person stamping your passport would really be a legal representative. He is just authorized to stamp your passport so I don't see a conflict. I don't think you need form no.IMM 5476. Confirm with your consultant though.
