Hi Rod,
My file transferred to LA on 1st Dec 2011.
It still shows pending review. I m guessing based on other's timelines that probably it will take 3 months to get MR.
thanks.

Sajay,

What is your ecas status? Did they "review and started processing"? If so, on what date?

Thanks,
Rod

Sanjay,

I agree on the timeline. It is usually 2 weeks later after you get the ecas line that people are receiving medicals

Hey bro, I got my CAIPS noted today. they isssued VISA on 31 Jan-2012. It seems they are sending my passport through registered post. Will update you guys once I will get it. Thanks to all and best of luck to everyone

Interesting, looks like they didn't want to use FedEx for some reason. Best of luck with your landing!

As far as I know, all canadian CHC in USA they dont use Fedex.
even it's mentioned on the LA consulate website too :
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/los_angeles/visas/apply-how_a_demande-comment.aspx?lang=eng&view=d
Courier Services:

•For return addresses in the USA or in Canada, you may supply a PRE-PAIDself-addressed courier envelope (i.e.UPSor DHL).
◦We will ONLY use courier labels that are clearly marked PRE-PAID.
For example, UPS Courier PRE-PAID labels show delivery charges as “P/PM” (PRE-PAID).
◦We will NOT use courier labels where the delivery charges are: charged to an account number; charged to a credit card; indicate ‘Collect On Delivery’ (COD), ‘Freight Collect’ (F/C); Bill Recipient; Bill Sender, Bill Third Party etc…
◦The Consulate will not use FedEx because they do not offer any PRE-PAID courier services.

Hi,

I sent my passport 20/01 and it arrived back to me in Toronto 10/02, so exactly three weeks.
Don't use FedEx when sending your passport. I sent via UPS and enclosed a prepaid UPS envelope and it went fine.
