PR Application Files Transferred from Buffalo ----> Los Angeles VO from Sep 2011

My ecas is still RBVO... ??? I am a post june applicant so I have no idea how my process will be at LA

mine gone when I got the MR from LA. after few weeks it came back

Hi,

Does anyone know the current processing time for passport stamping at Los Angeles?
My passport was delivered to them last Friday morning and my application is still "In Process" with no activity on my prepaid UPS envelope.
I understand the regular processing time is around 3 weeks but I received my PPR just two weeks after my medical report was delivered to Ottawa so I thought things might move faster than that.

hi bro, we are in same boat, mine received by LA on last thursday morning. there is no status yet. ecas status is still In Process. Will let you once I will get something. I sent email to LA for confirming that i sent my document and requested to update me how much time it will take to get stamped but no response yet.

Our timelines are almost identical, including file transfer to LA. I will let you know if I see any progress. Shouldn't be too long now!

Mine went in process after transferred to LA. Mine file transfer on oct 14 and they started processing on nov 18 and got mr on dec 2 but it was dated nov 28. did my mr on dec 7 and it reached ottawa on dec 22. got ppr on jan 17.
now waiting to get my passport hope the day will come soon.

try to send an email asking your status.....they will generally reply in 1 week or so

The trend at other VO's including Buffalo at the early stages was that they completed the case within 12 months of filing. Most VO's still operate that way for Post June. However Buffalo got stock after the August applicants and it is now taking longer.

Hello everyone,

I received Passport request on January 16. I have a few questions before I send the documents.

When sending passport for visa stamping:

1. Regarding the photographs, for the visa (NOT initial application), are these the only requirements:
Size 45x35 mm, head centered, head 31-36mm, top of shoulders showing, neutral smile, good lighting etc. I just want to make sure there is NO requirement to write/stamp the date/name/DOB etc on back of photograph.

2. I took a money order from my bank. The payee, payor, and amount are clearly noted. Is there anything I am missing?

3. For the height/weight/eye color information that is requested for stamping. Is there a specific form to fill out that information? Can we just print out the email that was sent and enter the information?

Photo are the same requirement what we have initially sent with application.

back of money order put your file number and your name. Also in cover letter while mentioning all the enclosure you can mention your moneyorder number too.

i did both, i took the printout of email and enter the information on it also I put the same order in the cover letter also.

Any movement on your file? Mine is still "In Process" and no tracking info available for my prepaid UPS envelope.
