Hi all,
I submitted my citizenship application last week and now I am wondering if my employment history discrepancy may cause me some trouble...
Originally in my PR application I had a period as unemployed in my country of origin, and now during the citizenship application they ask about the past 5 years which includes 2 years in my country of origin of employment history. In this case, the same period of time I put as self-employed.
I am wondering if this discrepancy woluld cause a refusal, should I update my citizenship application?
The reason behind this whole ordeal is that during the PR phase the unemployment (more like informal, sporadic work...) was a more accurate description of my situation at the time, it was not possible for me to demonstrate and it was also not neccessary for my PR application eligibility. Now for citizenship is also not needed for eligibility, but for the 5 year period of time.
Any insight is appreciated.
Thank you!
