Hi guys!

I hope I'm at the correct sub-forum here, and hopefully someone can give me advice/guidance on what to do here.

So in a nutshell, my PR application (submitted under express entry) was declined a couple of days ago and my open-bridge work permit received the same fate. So now I have 90 days from July 10 to restore my status - which is October 10.

Now I can reapply for express entry, however my IELTS score expired (lol) and the latest date I can do the test is July 29. My english test result will arrive on Aug 16 (13 business days after the test date). Now, that means I gotta apply for express entry and get into the pool ASAP, and miraculously receive an ITA in August or September. Do you guys think it will be possible to receive an ITA that quickly? My current estimated score is around 534.

If not, I already thought of the other scenario where I will apply for a study permit instead, and it will force me to quit my current job. Please let me know what you think of this option as well!

Thanks in advance for your responses :).

First thing first, What's the reason of rejection?

Why they are both refused? Could u please tell me When did u submit the application for both?

may I know what was the reason for refusal ?

I started a full time job after graduation starting June 2014, and my HR letter stated the same. However, supposedly on my PR application, I somehow input June 2010 as my starting date/year. CIC doesn't allow you to see the submitted application, so I can't attest at all :/. Unless there was an option/way to check the submitted application, please let me know! :)

So I submitted my PR in Jan 2017 and my work permit was expiring on June 2017. So I submitted an open bridge work permit on March 2017 which put me as implied status. Now because my PR was refused, they are saying my open bridge work permit is also refused as well :/.

Maybe your BOWP may not be refused if you have got your R10 passed actually.... But there isn't a decision since you applied in march? That's so long! You have waited for 6 months and get refused.... So sorry

Yea it's quite unfortunate :(. Suck that the mistake was my fault too.

So, because of your typo, you were awarded extra CRS points to earn the ITA, but with the corrected date, your CRS score no longer qualified under the draw, is that the situation?

So sorry - since you are currently out of status, you cannot work. You must quit your job NOW. Having 90 days to restore allows you to stay in Canada and submit an application for temporary resident status, but it does not authorize you to work in the meantime.

Yeah, on the refusal letter, it stated:
This change in your qualifications resulted in a loss of points that brought your rank below the lowest ranking person who was invited to apply in your round of invitation, under the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System.

Oh crap... I honestly didn't think about that at all.. Will probably speak to HR tomorrow, as they will ask for the status of my work permit application sooner or later :)..
