I got my AOR last Saturday and linked it on Monday. Please does anybody know approximately when they will ask me for the next step either for Biometrics, Medical or Security? Thanks. waiting for your response.

hope they don’t ask anything. I called and the agent told me ur application is complete and nothing is required at the moment. I think they skip medical and fingerprints during COVID. The pcc for countries u lived in more then 6 months can be asked ?

I got an email today form IRCC
Dear .....,

This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on 2020/12/13.

________________________

I then checked the status with online tool.....

Permanent Residence
  1. We received your application for permanent residence on December 13, 2019.
  2. We started processing your application on December 8, 2020.
  3. Medical results have been received.

i did the medical 3 months after i mailed them the application to have it ready for them, i even attached the clinic paper etc, trying to finish this process ASAP, because medicals are always valid for 1 year, save yourself some time and do them and don't wait for them to ask for it i think is best strategy to not waste time

biometrics not needed, but medicals needed for sure.

i guess all i need to give now is PCC soon?

I was not able to link the application, despite being able to see the case status tool, this is strange i'll give it a few days, what data did you choose to use to link application, any info is appreciated,

thank you

Thats great. atleast you have the AOR. which is a good thing. linking the application can take few more days to reflect in system. For medical. What you recommend should i go for medical including my family and send them in advance or wait for them asking. i already sent them the PCC. To be on safe side. Which they acknowledged.

You can also send them PCC. and advise me of Medical should i do it if yes how and where. We are 6 people in the appication how much does it cost.

Dear PR friend,

i looked around quite a lot the cheapest medical all inclusive with blood work, xray etc is 185$ per person (and health card doesn't cover nothing, if anyone in your family is in ontario works, they can pay for it because it is towards their PR application, and since PR helps get jobs more than protected person its considered necessary expense by them tom improve your chance to work )

they are called Panel Physicians North York, you can book online or call them and ask for an immigration medical, and the medical becomes available via a mutual system to IRCC in the same week. I think you go for medical, i mean it will be valid for a year from now by then yo should even have the Pr card haha

Do you mind to let me know exactly how they told you PCC is acknowledged, also did you do the PCC for Canada? or just the country where you were before? did you send with application or after application? Because from what i know the PCC is valid for 6 months if you still live where you live, so for canada PCC expires every 6 months, but for the country you last lived it never expires because you never lived there again after canada

That’s great good news. We should wait for next step. Atleast we can see our bars now

If it’s mentioned we do not need your fingerprints and medical so it means i wont be required to give them ? And also I haven’t spend 6 months or more in any other country so still do i need to give them PCC ?

No pcc in ur case for sure

fingerprints and medical can be asked if required not required at this stage

I think we all December 2019 applicants received our AOR in December 2020 after one year. Any December 2019 applicant left without AOR. Soon will be our turn hopefully.

How are you supposed to get AOR? Through email or mail?

Do you mean the day you sent the package or the day you saw it reached IRCC through tracking code, etc.?

r u still awaiting AOR ?
