Just use the following link which is the online tool to check the status of your pr application

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-status.html

1) Click IMMIGRATION for the (What did you apply to)
2) Scroll down to where it says (PAPER APPLICATION) and then choose the 2nd option, (USE ONLINE TOOL)
3) Then just follow the steps. It'll ask for your UCI number/ Surname/ Date of Birth and Place of Birth. Then click continue and it will tell you when your application has been received and when it started processing

Yea I kept trying too. For some time it kept telling (Unable to find an application) until it finally appeared recently.

If you are a January 2020 Applicant I'm pretty sure you'll find the update very soon because other Jan 2020 applicants have had their applications start processing these days.

Yes when it’s not acknowledged. You can’t check status. They still looking for the signatures and all requirements or application before they start processing it . Mine took them 11 months to send AOR

I checked my biometric but it shows expired. So do i need to give biometrics again. Or previous ones are still be valid for upto 10 years

I think they are extending all the biometrics now due to COVID. Let’s hope for the best our medical and biometrics are not asked

You can always use the online tool to check the status of your application. Sometimes even if you haven't received your AOR, you can still see that your application has actually begun processing.

@Visualize it really depend on case officer. How he deal ur file. Speed in start can be slow in end to be happy.

Where u see it. On online account the expiry date is written it’s for 10 years. I can see mine valid till 2027

I got my application number just now boys. I am a January 2020 applicatant. It says application received January 15, 2020 and we started processing it December 20, 2020 and medical results have been received! I have no clue what is going on! Anyway, you guys will get yours soon I guess.

My friend hasn’t received AOR until now . 20 Dec 2019 applicant. He is having family overseas. I think thatswhy its taking longer !
