PR application cancelled. CIC Error

Hi everyone,

Two days ago, I received a shocking mail from IRCC that I did not provide a PCC from New Zealand. As a result they cancelled my application and stated my refund would be processed. However, I actually submitted a PCC, in NZ it is obtained from the Ministry of Justice and it is called Criminal Record Check. As a matter of fact, I followed the link on CIC website to apply for it.

I can confused what do I do now as I know this is clearly an error on their part. I feel the VO was not aware of this.

Please advise me. How can get my application reopened. What number do I call or where do I go from here.

In the meantime, you can also try making a new EE profile and wait for another ITA. That sometimes takes quicker.

You can raise a webfrom and appeal to CIC regarding the error made by them to re-open your case.

No idea. It greatly varies. You may want to use the Search function on this forum to get an idea as this has also happened to several people.

The web form is the most direct access to the visa offices. The call centre usually can't make this type of decision, but you can try.

The only IRCC call centre number I know is what you can find on Google. No secret numbers that I'm aware of.

Can you see online if the criminal record check was actually submitted to IRCC? Did you upload it or mail it in?

Thank you. I have checked and it was uploaded and submitted to IRCC

Are you confident it's the right file? Sometimes people accidentally upload a file application confirmation instead of the report itself.

I am very sure and I have crossed check a zillion times. What I think happened is that because NZ does not call their criminal records check a Police Clearance certificate it was deemed as not submitted

IRCC knows what they are. They're called different things in each country and they won't refuse it for something like that.

There was an error. If you did cross check, the error is on IRCC side.
