what I meant is that it would be unlikely that they process all 3 segments of the pr process which are criminality, security, and medical in only 1 year. typically medical takes 6 months, criminality up to a year, and security again up to a year. when its been almost 8 months and still no news about AOR, it makes me wonder whats gonna happen for us? is the process gonna take 3 years? i dunno

I agree with you! I bet you that it is going to keep going up till it is 3 years sharp. Covid 19 has impacted everything badly and everything is going slow. I would say you guys need to be smart and stop thinking of pr applications because if you guys keep going this way, you will stress yourselves up and end up being mentally sick. Just think of your future, plan it out, if you have families overseas, just get a travel document and travel and spend some time with them there and come back or study or find a job. Just do not waste your time waiting for a word from the immigration office. Canada is a nice place to start your life so keep being pessimistic and make your life more successful. I know it is hard for every one waiting but it is what it is. We cannot change the reality we are having right now. Good luck!

Theoretically what you have said is right thing to do but practically it's very hard to do that way. We all are wasting valuable time of our lives without family.

I'm ok with 25 months of processing time but if it takes longer than that it's not acceptable.

Guys i have a question so with the current trend in the application processing for 2020 applicants , do u think they gonna send the AOR later than march/april 2021? Because im planning to spend my time out of canada and its been almost 8 month since they have received my application and nothing yet .
We being waiting since December 2019 no AOR yet we need to be patient I guess

hi, i got accepted as a refugee and i mailed my pr application to the case processing centre a month ago and the mail tracking shows that it was delivered, but when i contacted ircc to make sure that my application was received they replied that they didnt receive it and it is not showing in the system. is this normal due to covid? did anyone who applied during covid experienced the same issue?

I had a similar situation but little different, my mail tracking doesn't showed delivered so I sent second application right after the first one because I didn't want to waste time. I sent web inquiry to IRCC about the situation and they confirmed that both applications have been received.

I would suggest you to send another PR application.

Hi Friends....
As I have told you earlier, I applied on November 27th, 2019. I was waiting and waiting; at last, when I checked using the online tool today, it was updated. they have started to process my PR application. IRCC did not send me an email or anything... normally they would have sent an email update. Anyway, I still can't link my paper application to an online account. Keep up guys your turn will come soon. Now they are working on November end applications. Soon they will start December applications

If your case is accepted then its protected person. We don't need to give finger prints as we already have done that. I didn't applied my work permit by myself. I went to Bramalea Library / Multi cultural center and and there was Settlement Counselor who did it for me.
True the finger prints r valid for 10 years but do we need to redo the medical test ?
